SHOPPING IN PARALIA KATERINI

You can't leave Paralia Katerini without doing some shopping. The offer is abundant. You will find a lot of supermarkets, shops, souvenir shops and stalls and clothing stores.

More than 200 stores offer women fur coats, leather clothes, shoes, and jewellery. The shops are open every day from 9 am to 1:30 pm and from 5 pm till late in the night (around 1 am).

There are also some supermarkets that are open every day, without the lunch break, including Sundays.

You can get a better price by negotiating with the salesman. You can also find some great perfumes, watches, caps and T-shirts.

If you have visited all the shops and still aren't satisfied, you can also try some shopping in Katerini towm, which is 8 km far from Paralia. There are buses that take you right to the center of the town. These busses leave every 15 minutes so the local transport system is great and there are no traffic jams.

Another place where you can do some great shopping is in Salonic, the Capital of the Macedonian District. The city si north of Paralia. You can go there by selecting an optional trip from a local travel agency. Salonic has some great shops and malls and of course supermarkets and hypermarkets and this is an occasion to do some sightseeing.

The Greeks offer you great prices for 24 karrot gold artefacts and jewellery. And don't forget that the euro is the official currency in Greece.
