Halkidiki is located in the northern Greek peninsula, made up of three branches of earth - Kassandra, Sithonia, Mount Athos. Halkidiki is a fascinating place, full of contrasts: 500 km of coastline with fine sandy beaches and coves carved into the rock, large pine forests and traditional fishermen villages. It is considered to be a natural paradise located a short distance from Thessaloniki.

Besides the natural beauty that enchants the tourists, Halkidiki has a civilization and culture from ancient times: close by, in Thessaloniki, one can see monuments, churches and many splendid museums. This area is also the birthplace of Aristotle, Alexander the Great and King Philip.

Gerakini Beach is famous for shopping, great traditional food, souvenirs and everything a tourist needs for a holiday. Tourists can stroll along the beach while children can play in the sandy beach. Everyone can enjoy water sports: banana, jet ski's, water-skiing, etc.. The restaurants and taverns are esquisit. Tourists can try fresh fish, traditional Greek platters (local delicacies) with ouzo - anise and wine area. Cassandra is the first western peninsula. It is covered by coniferous forests. The region is without high altitude mountains. Residents mostly work in tourism and agriculture. The Cassandra area is endowed with many organized beaches that attract tourists of all ages for fun, but especially for nightlife. The city of New Moudania is localted at the beginning of the peninsula (55 km

from Thessalonica). This city is very beautiful with a lot of commercial shops and the famous "Feast of Sardines", where cultural events take place like Greek traditional music, with plenty of fresh fried fish and wine. Our next stop is at the New Potidea peninsula, built above the ancient city. Potidea is a strategic geographical point, separating the peninsula of Cassandra and making the connection between the golf and the Thermaiko Toronaio correspondence. The next village is at the impressive New Fokaias Byzantine tower. Next stop: we headed west. Sani is the region win which each summer festivals are held.

In the east side you can visit Athitos city, a traditional village built of stone near the shore. The next village is called Kalithea, meaning an excellent view of providing entertainment for long summer nights.The next city is built in the pine forest. Continuing the journey we reach Polyhrono to Hanioti in Peykohori, Paliouri, Ag. Paraskeui with its natural thermal baths and, eventually, New Skioni. Continuing our exploration we go west, passing Kalandra, Poseidi and reaching back Siviri Fourka and Sani. The city center is located in the Kassanda peninsula, known asValta, with shops, taverns, hospitals and public services.

Sithonia is the second peninsula in Halkidiki Sithonia shows a wild beauty, different from the rest of Halkidiki, with endless beaches, virgin or not, the ideal holiday and vacation in Greece. In Sithonia, the pins come out of the wild cliffs and often lean over the sea (Pitsakas coast). The region is dotted with hills and dense virgin forests, which creates unique bays that can be accessed only by sea. After Gerakini, Estelle is a resort in the 5 km Psakoudia which is lively during the summer months. Follow Ormylia, 3 km from the sea with plenty of fresh fruit and vegetable greenhouses. Vatopedi is the next location, with the Monastery of Saint Mary of Filanthopini.

Next you should visit the Nikiti region (at 32 km from Estelle), with plenty of houses and settlements, taverns and a port. You come to a cross roads. Going west, we pass along a lot of beaches, mostly unorganized, and a lot of organized camps, until we get to the cosmopolitan New Marmara (45 km) , the region's largest city. It looks like a village of the island with four ports, a big market for shopping, taverns and nightlife attractions of all kinds. After New Marmara meet casino group of hotels in Porto Karra Karra and famous wines. The following is a portion of the road in the pine forest with a lot of solitary trips to beaches, to get in Toroni. The old castle is well preserved in the sea.
